Innovative Risk Assessment Framework for Hydraulic Control of Irrigation Reservoirs´ Breaching

Abstract This research introduces an innovative framework aimed at developing a risk assessment to analyse the breaching hydraulic control of non-impounding reservoirs for irrigation purposes, called (IRs). approach comprises analytical method based on several empirical formulas where one that best fits different geometric characteristics IR water systems is chosen. Furthermore, stochastic allows incorporation occurrence probability as tool characterize analysis IRs. has two components: bottom elevation final breach and failure mode (piping in this case).
